Herkimer Diamond with Carbon Inclusions & Attached Crystal (SHKRM-5)

This one-of-a-kind Herkimer Diamond quartz specimen displays a striking concentration of dark inclusions against transparent to lightly smoky quartz. A small secondary crystal projects from one side of the main crystal, adding interest to its naturally formed shape.

Angular crystal faces reveal internal veils, fine fractures, and subtle warm mineral coloration as the piece is turned in the light. The contrasting dark mineral-rich area makes this an especially distinctive little collector’s specimen. Herkimer Diamonds are naturally occurring quartz crystals known for their double-terminated habit; despite the name, they are not actual diamonds.
