This one-of-a-kind Herkimer Diamond quartz specimen features a naturally double-terminated main crystal with a smaller crystal growing from its side. Clear to lightly smoky quartz reveals scattered dark, carbon-rich inclusions and delicate internal fractures that catch the light at different angles.

The attached secondary crystal gives this piece an especially interesting clustered formation, while the darker mineral inclusions create striking contrast within the translucent quartz. Herkimer Diamonds are naturally occurring quartz crystals prized for their distinctive double-terminated growth habit; despite the name, they are not actual diamonds.
