Specimen Details:
Fluorite is a calcium fluoride mineral that crystallizes in the cubic crystal system and commonly forms sharp cubic crystals. It occurs in a wide range of colors including green, purple, blue, yellow, and colorless varieties depending on trace elements and radiation exposure during formation. Fluorite commonly forms in hydrothermal veins associated with lead and zinc mineralization and is widely collected for its crystal structure and color.
